A local resident has received an email supposedly from no-reply@appstore.co.uk.  It advised that a subscription had been purchased to Water World Action & Adventure Series from iTunes at a cost of £97.99.   If you receive such an email, please do not click on the requested link.

Local residents have been receiving phone calls with an automated message from BT saying that their internet would be going down and to press certain numbers.   This is a scam so please do not follow any of these instructions if you receive such a call.

Please ensure that you always go into a Company’s genuine website and not click on any links that are sent to you by email, Facebook or other social media.

Also beware of bogus DVLA renewal and other Government websites when accessing online.

How to contact the Police

If a crime is happening at the time always phone 999.  101 can be used if non urgent to provide intelligence information or notify after say a burglary has occurred and the offenders are no longer at the scene.   Please do not post on Social Media before you have contacted the Police.

The Thames Valley Police website can also be used to report not only Crime, but also Anti-Social Behaviour, as well as to report “Something you’ve seen or heard” (on the ‘Tell us about’ section).  The direct links are below:

Reports of Crime, ASB or ‘Something you’ve seen or heard’, go straight into the Contact Management teams and will be triaged/directed appropriately at the earliest opportunity.

Unless a Police Officer has given their email or phone number for an individual to contact direct, no emails or calls should go to individual Police Officers due to shift rotas and that information can be lost for a few days if they are not on duty.   Please email the relevant Neighbourhood Policing Team for your area, details below, as by emailing the respective team, whoever is on duty will pick up the emails and take the relevant action.
