   West Berkshire Co-production Steering group for Environmental services    7 March, 2022

West Berks Council islooking for up to seven local people to join a 'Co-production Steering Group'. The group will be shaping a new approach to providing public services in West Berkshire called Co-production, which is about local people and professionals working together in equal partnerships. The initial focus of the group will be the Council’s Environment Strategy, which includes supporting green growth and businesses, energy efficiency, protecting and enhancing biodiversity, and sustainable transport.

 

Steering Group members might be from local organisations, businesses, green groups or local people with an interest in environmental issues.

 

We hope the first meeting will be face to face in Newbury on 29 March from 1pm-4pm. From then on the group will meet on Zoom once per month for six months.

 

All reasonable expenses will be covered.

 

Below are the main criteria for applicants:

 

·         An interest in environmental issues

·         Knowledgeable about and involved in your local community

·         An interest in finding out more about co-production

·         Some experience of working in groups or committees

·         The ability to take a collaborative and constructive approach

·         Awareness and understanding of equality and diversity

·         Able to attend the meetings by Zoom and face to face on the dates listed above

·         Able to keep sensitive information confidential

·         An interest in learning from other people
